Hypnosis and the human brain
By admin | September 9, 2009
In order to have a basic understanding of one’s conscious and subconscious mind, one must comprehend a few simple facts about the human mind & the human brain.
The conscious mind & human will are often overrated. Hypothetically, if one’s mind, knowledge, and logical reasoning were the main parts of the brain used to organize and optimize daily life & could ultimately have the ability to check and control body sensations and behavior, the world would appear in a dramatically different light. Humans would never fail to make the right decision when needed.
Most brain functions have yet to be fully explored. However, it is known that there are very old parts of the human brain controlling all life-supporting functions subconsciously, without conscious influence..
The brain can be split into two separate segments:
The superior subconscious and
The conscious part, which consists of the mind and will
When the conscious and subconscious are in conflict, the subconscious invariably wins! Our conscious mind simply does not have the ability to win against our subconscious beliefs.
For example, many women share the goal of reducing body fat. The will to achieve this goal is present ,along with the knowledge on how to do so. However, these women may inevitable fail. Sooner or later, the subconscious mind will will control the idea of how they should look and will succeed in this fight, maintaining the weight where the subconscious deems healthy and appropriate.
This is where hypnosis comes into play. You can communicate with subconscious parts and change your habits !
