Does hypnosis work with motivation?

By admin | September 18, 2009

Does hypnosis work with motivation? I know it does… I could be a lazy so and so. I found it hard to do anything without some kind of incentive, e.g. tidying up my flat could only be done if my mum, my brother or a lady friend was coming round.

I needed to change, but I found having to use sheer conscious will power to create my motivation too tiring for a lazy person like me.

My driven friend took pity on me and lent me a motivational hypnosis CD, this was lucky, as I wasn’t going to use effort to find a solution to my sloth!

I took it home got comfortable on my unmade bed and put the CD on. Great I thought, I could let my subconscious do the work, which to me is like getting someone else to work for you.

I found it relaxing, so much so I fell asleep (Nowadays I relax and wake up refreshed at the end of the disk).

I woke up about 20 minutes later; did I instantly feel like doing 10 things at once? Was I like a Tony Robbins after a double espresso? Not really. I just got up and tidied my flat, no one was coming round but it needed doing, I didn’t really think about it.

Next day I woke up at 8am feeling good, didn’t sleep in until my usual 9.30. I thought I haven’t been for a run in the last few days, so I got ready and went running.

Since I have been using Hypnosis am I still a lazy so and so? YES!

I still don’t like to do anything that takes effort. Just doing things like paying bills, the laundry or going for a run, doesn’t take any effort anymore.
